This area of Highbanks metro park in Columbus, Ohio is a little trek on a dirt trail behind the welcome center. Lugging painting gear down, and then up, the winding wood staircase, and then slip sliding down the steep banks ("highbanks" should've given me a clue) to get to a reasonably flat site has influenced me to convert to small, lightweight gear for painting outside. Of course all the seasoned artists will tell you this, but it's just something I had to experience for myself—you know, because I'm special.
