The weather forecast predicted cold weather for a late Saturday in October, so my usual painting group cancelled our planned outing. The day turned out to be sunny and in the 70s, so I ventured on my own to paint at Quarry Trails metro park. Before it was a park, the site provided much of the stone used to build downtown Columbus. This scene is from Swan Lake, and yes there are actually swans.
